Applying for an EV SSL certificate is an extensive validation process for organisations with increased compliance requirements.
Company validation
An EV SSL certificate is intended for organisations with increased validation requirements. A Chamber of Commerce registration is required for the application. This checks the company name, registration, address and contact details. In addition, it is verified that you are indeed the owner of the domain name.
